Why Join a Fraternity?

Being in a Fraternity is can be an extremely rewarding experience which will provide you the opportunity to lead and discover who you are, and brotherhood that will last a lifetime and beyond.

Why go Greek at Millsaps?

The Greek System at Millsaps College has been consistently ranked among the top twenty Greek Systems in the U.S. by the Princeton Review. The reason why is because unlike larger schools, or weaker Greek Systems where Fraternities are known for hazing, alcohol abuse, date rape, and academic failure, the Fraternities at Millsaps are made up of men who care about our communities, the legacy we will leave on campus, and most importantly our futures.

Why should I be interested in Lambda Chi Alpha at Millsaps?

Lambda Chi Alpha is a brotherhood, not a drinking club. Being a Lambda Chi at Millsaps is a lifelong commitment; it is where you will meet the men who will stand beside you at your wedding, and carry you to your grave.

What does the Millsaps Chapter of Lambda Chi Alpha Value?

True Brotherhood

We are comprised of men who do much more than come to weekly chapter meeting and get drunk on weekends. We are a group of men who have faith in what the fraternity has to offer our members, who are not afraid to have respected for ourselves and others, and who are willing to step up and gain as much as possible from being a Lambda Chi.

Scholarship

Our chapter has maintained the highest average GPA of all Greek Men’s organizations for the past eight semesters. We provide a network of academic support made up of members who are driven to see themselves and their brothers excel in academics

Service

We have a proud history of giving back and lending support to those in need. In 2009 our chapter contributed 2300 hours of service to the Millsaps and Jackson communities, nearly twice as much any other Greek organization on campus. Our annual Food Drive for Stewpot Community Services regularly raises over 50,000 pounds of food for the homeless (over 73,000 in 2009).

Leadership

Over 90% of our members are involved in organizations on campus besides Lambda Chi Alpha, ranging from community service to departmental honoraries. Lambda Chi provides an opportunity to develop leadership skills that will serve our members for the rest of their lives.

What does it all come down to?

Most of the Lambda Chi’s at Millsaps came to college never expecting to join a fraternity. We invite you to spend some time getting to know us if you think you have what it takes to be one of our good brothers.

Remember: When you go through Rush it Millsaps you can either join a fraternity for four years, or join a brotherhood for life.

Do I have what it takes to be a Lambda Chi at Millsaps?

This fall we aren’t looking for leftovers, and we aren’t looking for boozers.

We are looking for guys that we think will make good brothers.
